1. Who We Are
CodeVent Digital ("we", "us", "our") is a developer education platform, founded and operated out of Lagos, Nigeria, with the mission of building developers one step at a time — through structured courses, an AI-assisted learning experience, a Toolkit of practical resources, digital products (eBooks and courses), and an active WhatsApp community.
2. Eligibility
CodeVent Digital is intended for learners generally aged 13 and older. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use the platform, particularly for any purchases.
3. Accounts
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for abusive, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
4. Digital Products & Payments
- eBooks and paid courses are sold through Paystack, our payment processor.
- Digital products are delivered electronically; because of the nature of digital goods, sales are generally final once a download link or access has been issued, except where required by law or at our discretion.
- If something goes wrong with a purchase (failed payment, wrong file, access issue), contact us and we'll make it right.
5. Intellectual Property
All course content, eBooks, Toolkit resources, branding, and platform code are the property of CodeVent Digital unless otherwise stated. You may use what you purchase or access for personal learning, but you may not resell, redistribute, or repost our paid content without written permission.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data that aren't yours
- Disrupt or interfere with the platform's security or functionality
- Harass, abuse, or harm other members of the community
7. Community Conduct
Our WhatsApp community channels (Free Tips and Mentorship groups) are meant to be respectful, supportive spaces for learning. We reserve the right to remove anyone whose conduct is disruptive, abusive, or otherwise harmful to the group.
8. AI Chat Disclaimer
Our AI mentor (powered by Google's Gemini API) is designed to support your learning journey, but it can make mistakes. Responses are informational and educational — they should not be treated as professional, legal, or definitive technical advice for critical decisions. Always verify important information independently.
9. Limitation of Liability
CodeVent Digital is provided "as is." We work hard to keep things running smoothly, but we don't guarantee the platform will always be error-free or uninterrupted, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the platform for anyone who violates these terms. You may stop using the platform or leave our community channels at any time.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as CodeVent Digital grows. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
